After three years of productive research, the SEEDS project has come to an end

The SEEDS project, which ran from January 2021 to December 202, aimed at identifying key domains in which satellite-based approaches could enhance existing methods or create new methods for atmospheric monitoring.

The project showcased TROPOMI’s potential to enhance both spatial resolution and temporal accuracy.

“The main added value of SEEDS is the impressive amount of data now available for benchmarking and evaluation in our data portal.”, concluded Leonor Tarrason, the SEEDS project coordinator. Indeed, the project consortium has created 8 distinctive emission datasets and 10 distinct land surface and deposition datasets that can be explored in the SEEDS data portal.

We have also created a Zenodo community where you can find the scientific publications linked to the project.
